Roasted Harvest Cabbage on Whipped Smoked Tofu

This is our CEO Miki’s personal favourite recipe. As summer comes to an end and fall feather in, roasted cabbage with oomé whipped tofu is the perfect way to an easy and healthy meal! We personally love pairing this with rice.

For us, this is the best of both worlds - making for the best Asian fusion meal! What toppings would you put on? We’re all of the Asian flavours lately!

 

Makes approx. 4+

What you'll need:

Just Smoke or Maple Soy smoked tofu


Ingredients

1 med cabbage

1 tbsp sesame oil

1 pinch of salt

½ tsp miso

1 tbsp tahini

1 tbsp rice wine vinegar

1 pack maple soy @thisisoome smoked tofu

 

Instructions:

1. Using a knife slice entire block cabbage in the wedge chunks
2. Marinate cabbage in olive oil, salt, and pepper. Place on a roast pan and insert in the oven at around 325 degrees. Roast until charred and braised.
3. Put you smoked tofu, miso, tahini, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, and water in a blender and blend until creamy and smooth.
4. Remove your roasted cabbage. Lay on rack to cool.
5. Take your creamy smoke tofu spread and generously spread on the serving platter. Place the roasted cabbage on top of the creamy spread in the design of your choice

6. Garnish and drizzle with chili oil and seasonal nuts for an extra zing!
