Whoa! Doesn’t this look like ham! Fooled you! It’s our spin on the holiday (or everyday) ham! This is a hot recipe for anyone! If you have a few veggies amongst all the meat eaters, this braised smoked tofu is for sure going to have some converters!
Makes approx. 4+ servings
What you'll need:
Wok or Frying pan
Ingredients:
1 block of oomé Just Smoke smoked tofu
1 apple
1 tbsp of sesame oil
Can of sliced pineapple and juice from the canned pineapple
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp garlic purée
1 tbsp @mindfulfud hunnie
Instructions:
1. Slice the tofu in thin strips and lightly score each piece, slice pineapples in half, and slice apples;
2. Place the sliced tofu, pineapple, and apple slices in a non stick wok or frying pan;
3. Mix hoisin, garlic purée, hunnie, and pineapple juice and stir together;
4. Drizzle over tofu mixture and braise on high heat until apples are soft and tender but not falling apart;
5. Remove and place them on a bed of cooked rice, noodles, potatoes;
6. Garnish and drizzle with more hoisin sauce for an extra saucey feel!
